I'm the loan assistant behind LoansAi.au. Powered by Ei Amy — Emotional Intelligence, not just Artificial Intelligence. My job is to make borrowing feel less like an interrogation and more like a conversation.

Borrowing money is stressful — often tied to a life event: a new baby, a used car breaking down, a wedding, a debt spiral, a tiny-home dream. Ei Amy means the assistant is built to read the context of your situation, not just the numbers.

Every recommendation shows why — the loan type, rate range and repayment estimate you'd see, based on the answers you gave.

How Ei Amy works

What Ei Amy does
  • Asks a short set of structured questions about your goal, amount, term, income and credit self-assessment.
  • Matches your profile to the loan type most likely to suit — Personal, Debt Consolidation, Tiny Home, Wedding, and so on.
  • Returns an indicative rate range and monthly repayment estimate so you know what you're looking at before you apply.
  • Hands you off to an ASIC-regulated lender (currently Harmoney) to complete a full paperless application if you choose to proceed.
What Ei Amy does not do
  • Ei Amy is not a licensed financial adviser and does not provide personal financial advice.
  • Ei Amy does not approve loans, set rates, or lend money — the lender does that under Australian responsible-lending law.
  • Ei Amy does not run a hard credit check. Getting an indicative rate uses a soft check that does not affect your credit score.
  • Ei Amy does not sell your data, share it with unrelated third parties, or spam you afterwards.

Inputs you give Ei Amy

Loan purpose, requested amount, preferred term, employment status, income band and a self-declared credit rating. That's the whole set.

What we don't ask for in the assistant

No tax file number, no bank login, no full ID document, no full credit file. Those are only ever collected by the lender at the formal application step, on their own secure platform.

Where it goes

Your answers stay on-device to compute an indicative match. If you choose to apply, we hand off to the lender's application flow — their privacy policy then applies to what you submit there.

What we store

LoansAi.au itself does not build a marketing profile of you from the assistant flow. Standard, anonymised analytics may record that a session occurred so we can improve the product.

Safety & mistakes

AI makes mistakes. Here's how we handle that.

Ei Amy is a digital assistant. Like any AI-assisted tool, her outputs can contain errors — a wrong number, an out-of-date rate, a category that doesn't quite fit your situation. We design around that honestly rather than pretending it can't happen.

Indicative, not binding

Every number Ei Amy shows is clearly labelled as indicative. Your real rate and approval decision come from the lender after their full assessment.

Verify before you act

If Ei Amy says something that doesn't match what you're seeing at the lender's application step, trust the lender's figures and let us know so we can improve.

No dark patterns

Ei Amy will never fake urgency, hide fees, or push a bigger loan than you asked for. If we ever do, that's a bug — report it.

When to step back

How are my AI inputs used inside the actual loan application?
The answers you give Ei Amy are used only to compute an indicative match on your device. If you choose to apply, you re-enter the formal application details directly on the lender's platform — Ei Amy's inputs are a starting point, not the submitted application. The lender's own assessment (income verification, credit file, ID) drives the real decision.
Does Ei Amy make mistakes?
Yes — like any AI-assisted tool, she can be wrong: a stale rate, a category that doesn't quite fit, a number that looks off. That's why every figure is clearly labelled indicative and why the lender's own quote is always the source of truth. Found one? Please report it.
